As we move into new phases of re-opening, we want everyone to stay safe. The governor’s new guidelines, include customers wearing masks when they aren’t eating, expanded outdoor seating and customers waiting in their cars for a table.

Newsom, emphasized that stricter county shelter-in-place rules take precedence over his order. Counties that meet his guidelines will be allowed to reopen dine-in restaurants, but not bars, pubs, breweries or wineries that don’t serve food. Restaurants intending to reopen must write a plan to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and train employees in its implementation, follow intensive protocols for cleaning and disinfecting high-traffic areas, and make sure all customers and employees can stay six feet away from one another- among other rules.

You’ve probably heard that the Health Officer of the County of Santa Clara County has modified our stay at home order. Below you’ll find some more helpful information on COVID-19 and our county’s response, this update d Shelter-in-Place Order https://www.sccgov.org/sites/covid19/Documents/05-18-20-Health-Officer-Order.pdf allows certain additional businesses and activities to resume, subject to restrictions to reduce transmission risk. The Order also makes important changes to the Social Distancing Protocol requirements for all operating businesses. This new Order, will remain in effect until the Health Officer amends or rescinds it. This new Order replaces the prior order, which went into effect on May 4, 2020.
